- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and line an 8-inch round cake pan or springform pan with parchment paper.
- Whisk the eggs in a large mixing bowl until light and frothy (about 2–3 minutes using a hand mixer on medium-high).
- Add Nutella to the eggs gradually, stirring continuously until smooth and fully combined.
- Fold in the flour, vanilla, and salt (if using) until just incorporated. Be careful not to overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
- Cool completely in the pan before slicing. Dust with powdered sugar
Notes
Use room temperature eggs: This helps create a smoother batter and more even texture.
Don’t overmix: Stir just until combined to avoid a dense cake.
Toothpick test: Insert a toothpick into the center—if it comes out with a few moist crumbs, it’s done!
Let it cool completely before slicing to avoid crumbling.
